Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking an Events and Project Officer to coordinate on-campus and off-site engagement initiatives, delivering activities that align with our strategy to increase participation in higher education.

You will report to the Events Manager and work with the Outreach, Access and Engagement, and Partnerships teams to ensure timely, high-impact events and projects that support under-represented cohorts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated organisational and planning skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Cultural competence with understanding of under-represented cohorts.
• Experience coordinating events and engagement activities for diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management for internal and external partners.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative and resolving operational matters.
• Experience with project coordination, lifecycle, documentation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-campus and off-site engagement initiatives and events.
• Support delivery of activities within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Collaborate with Outreach and Access and Engagement and Partnerships teams.
• Assist recruitment activities for under-represented cohorts, including low SES, rural/remote, and Indigenous students.
