Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council in Sydney’s north is seeking a strategic HR professional to provide expert advice across the organisation. You will support managers and employees, drive key HR projects, and help implement policies, programs and work practices in line with current legislation.

This permanent full-time role (35 hours per week) offers a salary of $98,182.78 to $113,892.48 per year plus super, with Work From Home options and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field, or significant relevant work experience
• Ability to interpret Federal, State and Local Legislation in Local Government context
• Proven ability to build relationships and advise managers/employees on complex HR matters
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Deliver HR transactional tasks effectively
• Provide internal coaching and consultancy on ER/IR matters to staff and management
• Liaise with LGNSW and Unions on ER/IR and workforce issues
• Contribute to statistical and statutory reporting
• Review and implement HR policies and procedures
• Lead HR projects and initiatives
