Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a commercially minded government engagement professional to grow AP+’s government opportunities and drive value for Australian consumers and businesses. The role focuses on building trusted senior relationships with government stakeholders and leading proposals and commercial initiatives.

You will identify and progress strategic opportunities across government, contribute to feasibility assessments, and shape cost-benefit analyses to inform investment

Qualifications

• Experience in government relations, strategic engagement, public sector advisory or senior commercial roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted senior relationships across government, aligning opportunities with government priorities.
• Engage with Treasury departments and policy stakeholders to align opportunities with ministerial intent and priorities.
• Identify, qualify and progress a strategic pipeline of government opportunities aligned to AP+ strategy and delivery capacity.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority government stakeholders, coordinating cross-government relationships.
• Lead end-to-end bid and proposal activity for small to medium initiatives with commercial inputs and risk management.
• Assist feasibility assessments and support business cases with cost-benefit and risk analyses.
