Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery seeks a strategic Global Account Manager to serve as a key contact for major global mining customers. Based in Perth, you will work with an experienced leader to build account knowledge, strengthen relationships and develop understanding of our global customer base during a succession period before assuming ownership of key accounts.

This office-based role focuses on long-term partnerships and delivering strategic value across a global mining portfolio,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in strategic account management within mining, OEM, heavy industry or related sectors.
• Strong mining industry knowledge and the ability to engage in technical, operational and commercial discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships across multiple organisational levels, including executive leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key contact before transitioning to the primary relationship manager for key global mining accounts assigned across multiple international regions.
• Building trusted relationships with operational leaders, procurement teams, and senior executives stakeholders as required.
• Working closely with regional managers, corporate teams, site operations and customer stakeholders to develop and execute global account strategies.
• Maintaining visibility of customer global operations and proactively identifying business risks, opportunities and performance improvements.
• Creating market awareness of Hitachi products, promoting the company and brand.
