Job summary

University of New South Wales is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial & Statutory Reporting to oversee accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and external reporting.

The role partners with senior finance leaders to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and UNSW policies, delivering high-quality reporting outcomes with a focus on governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Accredited membership with a professional accounting body in Australia (CPA Australia or CA ANZ).
• More than 10 years in consolidated statutory external reporting and compliance in a large, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely, compliant statutory financial reporting and audits.
• Maintain Balance Sheet integrity and consolidated statements per AASB, NSW Treasury, and DOE requirements.
• Provide expert technical accounting advice with governance and documentation.
