Job summary

University of New South Wales in Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial & Capital Accounting to lead asset management and financial control across the University. The role reports to the Director, with one direct report, and sits within the Financial Control & Compliance function on-site at UNSW Kensington Campus.

Remuneration is determined after interview and commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Accredited membership with CPA Australia or CA ANZ.
• 10+ years in financial and capital accounting in a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger and asset-related accounting in line with standards.
• Lead capital accounting revaluations and statutory reporting.
• Develop policies and procedures for property, plant and equipment.
• Lead end-to-end asset revaluation with external valuers and auditors.
• Develop and empower a high-performing Financial and Capital Accounting team.
