Johnson Winter Slattery in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, strengthen governance and provide meaningful commercial insights to support business performance and decision-making.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a key leadership role with responsibility for financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, compliance and the development of a high‑performing finance team.

Qualificações

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 10+ years of senior finance experience with reporting, budgeting and compliance responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee financial leadership and reporting, ensuring accurate analysis to support decisions.
• Lead annual budgets, forecasts and performance monitoring, with risk/opportunity insights.
• Manage cash flow planning and liquidity; monitor KPIs against budgets.
• Ensure GST, payroll tax, superannuation and related statutory obligations are met.
• Oversee trust accounting processes and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary finance team.
• Drive improvements to financial systems, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with COO and leaders to provide commercial advice and business insights.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain stakeholder relationships.
