Johnson Winter Slattery in Adelaide, Australia, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, strengthen governance and provide commercial insights to support performance.

Reporting to the COO, you will manage financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, compliance and build a high-performing finance team while improving systems and controls.

Qualificações

• CA/CPA qualification with accounting degree.
• 10+ years in senior finance roles including reporting and compliance.
• Proven leadership of finance teams and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, GST, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation.
• Excellent commercial acumen, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment is highly regarded.
• Committed to continuous improvement of systems and controls.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee financial leadership and reporting for accurate and timely insights.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring with risk insights.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity planning and KPI performance versus budgets.
• Ensure governance with Australian accounting standards and tax obligations.
• Oversee trust accounting with applicable legislation and standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary finance team.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, controls and processes.
• Collaborate with COO and senior leaders to provide commercial advice.
• Coordinate external audits and manage stakeholder relationships.
