Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• Minimum 5 years in a Financial Controller or similar leadership role.
• Experience in banking, private lending, financial services, mortgage management or related industry.
• Strong understanding of loan accounting, treasury management and property asset reporting.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytics skills.
• Experience with cash flow, forecasting, budgeting and statutory compliance.
• Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax obligations.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reporting packs.
• Manage loan portfolio accounting, interest calculations, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Oversee property asset accounting, outgoings, and capital expenditure.
• Lead treasury and funding activities, ensuring adequate liquidity across the business.
• Manage statutory compliance, BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, legal advisers, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system efficiencies.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support business growth, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
