Job summary

MCC Adelaide & MCC Griffith are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the accounting and financial activities across sites, delivering timely P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow insights that guide strategic decisions.

You will partner with department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models, provide analysis on profitability, and ensure compliance and effective internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (CPA/CMA/CFA preferred) is mandatory.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or labelling industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports – P&L, Balance Sheet, internal and cash flow reports.
• Completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Liaison with external Auditors, Bank Managers and Tax specialists.
• Management, training and mentoring of local finance team members.
• Review and analysis of P+L and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Manage local & USGAAP fixed asset register and inventory.
• Assisting in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure Accounting standards and policies are adhered to.
• Facilitate the local component of the group annual statutory audit.
• Manage the Internal Sox audit and control reviews.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, variance explanations, and KPIs.
• Provide insights into the financial health of the business and recommend actions for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
