Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking a skilled Financial Analytics Officer to join the Budgeting & Strategic Accounting team. You will provide technical expertise in financial modelling, forecasting and analysis to support the council’s long-term financial sustainability and strategic decision-making.

Working with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll deliver high-quality financial insights, support budgeting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Design, develop and analyse sophisticated financial and forecasting models.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and analyse complex financial and forecasting models
• Provide financial analysis on cost drivers, pricing and strategic initiatives
• Support annual budget preparation, reporting and financial projects
• Deliver variance analysis, forecasting and financial insights to stakeholders
• Assist with the continuous improvement of budgeting systems and reporting tools
• Prepare financial reports, journal entries and executive decision-making advice
