Sharp & Carter is seeking a Senior Finance Manager on a 12-month FTC in Sydney to partner with senior leaders and drive commercial performance through strategic insight and financial challenge.

You will lead budgeting and forecasting, monthly reporting, build financial models, influence pricing and client profitability, and mentor the finance team in a fast-evolving professional services setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across commercial finance, financial management or management accounting.
• Professional services experience essential, with consulting, creative/agency or engineering backgrounds highly relevant.
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering capability.
• Proven experience partnering with senior executives, business leaders or partners.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Confidence challenging senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
• Advanced Excel and experience with corporate planning/reporting systems such as Jedox or equivalent.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, data and the future of finance.
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly financial reporting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Act as a trusted commercial finance advisor to senior stakeholders and partners.
• Challenge assumptions and influence financial performance and decision-making.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities and emerging performance trends.
• Provide insight across revenue, profitability, WIP, debtors and pipeline.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, commentary and briefing materials.
• Support pricing, client profitability and broader performance improvement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Mentor and develop finance team members.
