Job summary

Sharp & Carter is assisting a nationally recognised market leader in Melbourne to recruit a Finance Business Partner. Reporting to a seasoned FP&A professional, you’ll work with operational leaders across regions to interpret performance and support commercial decision making beyond month‑end reporting.

You are CA-qualified or nearing completion, with Big 4/Mid‑Tier or commercial analysis experience, superb Excel skills, and a proactive, stakeholder‑facing mindset to build a long‑term finance

Qualifications

• CA qualified or nearing completion.
• Experience in Big 4, Mid Tier or a Commercial Analyst position.
• Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance.
• Deliver commercial analysis across sales, margins, labour and profitability.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and period-end reporting.
• Develop business cases for commercial initiatives and investment decisions.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and recommend practical solutions.
• Support strategic projects and ad hoc commercial analysis.
• Build relationships across finance and the wider business.
