Job summary

Linktree is seeking a Staff Data Scientist in the Office of the Founders to partner with the executive team. You’ll turn vast user and revenue data into forecasts, tests, and clear accountability for our growth strategy.

You’ll be hands-on across the data stack, build datasets and models, and present defensible answers to leaders. You’ll work 3 days per week in Melbourne or Sydney and 2 days from home, contributing to a fast‑growing, mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Data Scientist or similar in a high-growth tech company
• Proven track record shaping strategy with founders and executives
• Built driver-based forecasts or operating models
• Hands-on SQL and modern analytics stack, and comfortable building pipelines/datasets
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or related field
• Ability to articulate a clear point of view with senior stakeholders and adapt when data dictates
• Thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable owning early questions
• Willing to work 3 days per week in Melbourne or Sydney offices

Responsibilities

• Shape strategy by identifying opportunities and framing key questions
• Assess strategic investments, quantify trade-offs and recommend next steps
• Define success measures with Finance and leaders; hold teams accountable
• Build and own datasets and models that quantify company performance
• Influence executive and board decisions with clear recommendations and rationale
• Raise the analytic bar across the company with best practices in metrics and forecasting
