Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) seeks an experienced Contracts Superintendent to lead the Contracts team on site, reporting to the Commercial Manager. This senior role focuses on optimising contracted outcomes for HVO, driving teamwork and compliant processes.

You will develop and manage contract renewals and new contracts for capital scopes, and provide strategic commercial advice to stakeholders to support safe, cost-effective site activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in business/commerce or related field.
• Experience managing requests for tender, the evaluation and negotiation of tenders, the development of contracts and management of contractors.
• Ability to apply commercial acumen to business decisions and negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Contracts function to optimise contracted outcomes for HVO.
• Drive a culture that facilitates teamwork, continuous improvement and adherence with business processes and policies in a timely manner.
• Provide expert strategic contracts advice to stakeholders to drive improved commercial outcomes for the site.
• Develop and manage the timeline to renew contracts and to develop new contracts for capital scopes and for new services to enable the site to execute its budgeted activities safely and cost-effectively.
