Job summary

CSIRO is seeking a Coordinator, Contract Governance and Compliance to oversee governance, compliance auditing and performance across a diverse national facilities portfolio. You will work with facility ops teams and contractors to safeguard safe, well-maintained infrastructure that supports world-class science.

The role focuses on contract governance, compliance reporting, procurement support and performance management, with opportunities to influence practices across CBIS and multiple locations

Qualifications

• Experience managing governance, compliance and performance requirements across complex maintenance or facilities contracts.
• Working knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration, including tendering and supplier engagement.
• Public sector, government or governance-heavy environment experience preferred.
• Ability to balance cost, quality, compliance, safety and customer outcomes in procurement/contracting.
• Knowledge of compliance, regulatory and legislative requirements for facilities and workplace safety.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement.
• Well-developed organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders across locations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance, compliance and performance management across maintenance and facilities contracts.
• Monitor contractor performance, KPIs and SLAs to meet obligations.
• Maintain contract registers, audit records and procurement documents for lifecycle management.
• Support procurement activities including RFQs, panel arrangements and tenders.
• Lead contract compliance reporting, financial tracking and contractor audit programs.
• Identify and mitigate procurement and contractor-related risks.
• Support asset data integrity and maintenance records in CSIRO systems.
• Develop guidance and training to build contract management capability across CBIS.
