Job summary

Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Melbourne seeks a Strategic Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Affairs team. You will translate strategy into clear narrative, lead communications for transformation, and craft executive messages for major moments such as town halls.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, change leads and stakeholders, turning complex information into practical content while leveraging data and emerging AI tools to improve effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience delivering internal or change communications in a complex environment.
• Experience developing executive communications, speaking notes or key messages.
• Experience supporting transformation or change programs in a professional services or regulated setting.
• Experience measuring communication and engagement effectiveness.
• Familiar with Canva, Adobe Express, Miro, Articulate, SharePoint, Teams or Viva.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy and priorities into clear, audience-appropriate narrative.
• Lead communications and engagement for significant change initiatives.
• Support senior leaders to communicate with clarity and impact.
• Turn complex or sensitive information into practical messages and content.
• Use data, feedback and audience insight to improve communications.
• Explore how AI-enabled tools can enhance content development.
