Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking an Executive Officer to shape financial strategy and governance across the CFO Portfolio, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer.

This full-time, ongoing appointment offers a base salary of AU$139,660–AU$147,783 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation and a range of flexible benefits. You will coordinate priorities, provide strategic advice, and strengthen governance across committees and portfolios.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience in a governance/finance context.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to provide strategic advice and reports on complex matters.
• Strong project management, planning and organisational capability across multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and deliver customer-focused outcomes in a complex environment.
• Excellent analytical and digital capability, including dashboards and business reports using office, spreadsheet and database tools.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the delivery of University-wide financial strategy and supporting governance frameworks, policies and processes.
• Coordinate CFO Portfolio priorities and deliverables across multiple stakeholders, providing strategic analysis and executive support.
• Strengthen financial governance by overseeing audit-related portfolio activity and improving governance processes.
