Job summary

The University of Western Australia (UWA) seeks an executive professional to shape the University’s financial strategy and governance. You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer, coordinating CFO Portfolio priorities and delivering strategic analysis across multiple stakeholders.

This ongoing, full-time role requires strong governance experience, exceptional communication, and the ability to drive improvements in governance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience with substantial governance in corporate/finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to prepare strategic reports and recommendations.
• Strong project management and organisational capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships and deliver customer-focused outcomes in a complex environment.
• Analytical and digital capability, including experience with dashboards and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the delivery of University-wide financial strategy and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate CFO Portfolio priorities across stakeholders, providing strategic analysis and executive support.
• Strengthen financial governance by overseeing audit-related activity and improving governance processes.
