Job summary

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking a Capital Program Accountant to provide strategic financial leadership across capital works planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will help ensure investments are financially sustainable and aligned with long-term priorities.

Qualifications

Qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce with demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting and accounting functions.
Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills with the ability to manage multi-year capital budgets.
Experience developing, monitoring and reporting on large-scale budgets, including capital works programs and statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic financial leadership across capital works planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Ensure Council’s investments are financially sustainable and aligned with long-term priorities.
Influence executive decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the capital works program.
