Job summary

Airforce Airconditioning & Solar is seeking a Business Manager in Perth to own and oversee financial operations across the company, drive sustainable growth, and report to the Managing Director. You will manage finances, technology systems, HR, compliance, and ensure peak efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in business management or finance, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and proficiency with Xero (essential) and Simpro (advantage).

Qualifications

• Over 5 years' experience in a business management or finance role, ideally within a trade or construction environment.
• A bachelors degree with accounting as a major.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with ownership, accountability, and integrity.
• Exceptional organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Adept with technology, learning new systems quickly, and adapting to evolving digital environments.
• Knowledge of Xero is essential and knowledge of Simpro would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Financial management and reporting, including preparation of end of year financial reports for external accountants.
• Review and improve operational and admin processes .
• Oversee and advise bookkeeping and payroll staff.
• Control operating costs and ensure sales staff are working with current costings.
• Oversee the purchasing, warehousing and installation functions to ensure optimal efficiency and accountability.
• Review and act on key performance reports in consultation with the managing director.
• Ensure strong debtor governance and decisive action on overdue or problem accounts.
• Manage HR processes and oversee inductions and training of new staff.
• Oversee and manage all insurances.
• Ensure compliance with government and industry regulations.
