Job summary

Pendulum Capital is seeking a Finance Manager to join the West Perth team. This hands-on role will own day-to-day financial management, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, cash flow and cost control. You will partner with operations to deliver commercial insights that drive growth.

The role reports to the CFO and leads the finance team, focusing on robust controls, ERP systems, and driving profitability across the newly acquired business unit.

Qualifications

• Accounting/finance degree with CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• Hands-on experience in finance management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong working capital, cost accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with accurate reporting.
• Prepare management and statutory accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Lead finance team and develop robust processes and controls.
• Ensure tax, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Support CFO with cash flow forecasting and treasury needs.
• Oversee working capital, including inventory and payables/receivables.
• Collaborate with operations to identify cost efficiencies and improve margins.

Our diverse portfolio spans agribusiness, real estate development, hospitality and infrastructure, with extensive expertise across a range of agricultural and investment sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join our tight-knit West Perth team in a newly created role. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of a recently acquired business unit, with responsibility across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, cash flow and cost control.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to partner closely with operational leaders, strengthen financial processes and deliver commercial insights that support business performance and growth.

The role:

Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare management and statutory accounts, annual budgets, and forecasts.

Lead and oversee finance and accounts team members.

Ensure compliance with taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and funding requirements.

Manage working capital, including inventory, debtors, and creditors.

Develop and maintain robust internal controls, financial processes, and systems, including the ERP system.

Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost efficiencies and improve financial performance.

Undertake cost, margin, and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making.

Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to the CFO and broader leadership team.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar hands-on finance role.

Strong financial and management accounting capability, including month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong understanding of working capital, cash flow, cost accounting, and financial controls.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial information to support decision-making.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively partner with senior leaders and operational teams and lead and support finance team members.

Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working within a hands-on and evolving business environment.

Experience within an operational, agribusiness, manufacturing, FMCG or other inventory-based environment would be advantageous.
