Job summary

Austal Defence Australia (ADA) is seeking a Business Analyst to drive operational excellence by analysing processes, identifying improvements, and supporting strategic initiatives across ADA. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions that align with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include elicitation and documentation of requirements, process modelling, and governance support to enable informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in business analysis or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale business process re-engineering initiatives and developing sophisticated process models.
• Proven ability to provide strategic oversight of business systems.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office to deliver strategic insights and data-driven decisions.
• Experience engaging with senior executives and driving consensus on complex initiatives.
• Understanding and application of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation and management of business requirements to meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Support development, implementation and continuous improvement across functional and digital environments.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and change readiness.
• Provide analysis, reporting and governance support to enable informed decision making and deliver business value.
