Job summary

Victoria University in Melbourne seeks a Senior Coordinator - Academic Workload to lead academic workload planning, ensuring staffing availability, workload allocation and reporting align with university policies and the enterprise agreement.

You will collaborate with College leaders and professional services to translate requirements into scalable processes, monitor data quality and drive continuous improvement for sustainable workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification and demonstrated expertise in tertiary academic workload allocation.
• Experience leading development and implementation of organisational processes and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as the business owner of the academic workload planning process.
• Collaborate with Colleges and professional service areas to record staffing availability.
• Prepare timely reports on academic workforce utilisation and class/course viability.
• Develop and improve scalable mechanisms for recording and managing academic workforce information.
• Establish consistent business practices for academic workload planning.
• Monitor process performance and data quality, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and internal/external partners to support planning outcomes.
• Champion service excellence and staff/student experience.
