Job summary

R.A. Bell is seeking an experienced Storeperson / Inventory Controller to join our team and support the day-to-day operation of our stores and production inventory.

This is a hands-on role that values accurate stock records, proper allocation to production, and smooth component movement through the manufacturing process. You will handle receiving, stock movements, and warehouse duties on the shop floor, working with Purchasing and Production to ensure material availability and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores, warehousing or inventory control.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of stock control and inventory movements.
• Experience using an inventory ERP or warehouse management system.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply process transactions.
• Good communication with Stores, Purchasing and Production teams.
• Hands-on approach across warehouse operations.
• Experience with Unleashed Inventory Management would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

You will help maintain accurate stock records, ensure materials are available and correctly allocated to production, and support the movement of components through our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and takes ownership of inventory accuracy.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in a stores, warehousing or inventory control role

Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Strong understanding of stock control and inventory movements

Experience using an inventory, ERP or warehouse management system

Good computer skills and attention to detail

Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply process transactions

Good communication skills and the ability to work with Stores, Purchasing and Production teams

A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to assist across warehouse operations

Experience with Unleashed Inventory Management would be highly regarded but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

The right person will understand the importance of maintaining accurate inventory in a manufacturing environment. You'll be comfortable working on the warehouse floor while also using inventory systems and following processes to ensure the physical stock and system stock remain aligned.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their area, identify problems and help improve the way materials move from receipt through to production.
