Job summary

Harrybilt Engineering in Ballarat is seeking a Junior Store Person to join the Stores team. You will help ensure materials, components and equipment are available for production and a range of warehouse activities.

This permanent, full‑time role offers on‑the‑job training, exposure to manufacturing and logistics, and the chance to develop stocking, picking and dispatch skills while working with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Confidence using technology, email and computer systems.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A current driver's licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Warehousing or stores experience (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking deliveries from suppliers.
• Stock control, storage and inventory management.
• Picking parts and kits for production and spare parts orders.
• Supporting Kanban and stocktake activities.
• Processing and preparing materials and components for production.
• Assisting with component assembly and stores-related tasks.
• Organising freight and transport bookings.
• Completing local pick ups and deliveries.
• Supporting fabrication and fitting teams with parts and kits.
• Assisting with dispatch preparation and quality checks.
• Contributing ideas for continuous improvement within the stores area.
• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient work environment.

About the Role
