Job summary

Wagon Paints Australia is hiring a Store Person for our Somerton branch. It is a casual role for the first 3 months, with progression to permanent full-time after probation, involving warehouse operations, tinting, and local deliveries.

The successful candidate will have a valid Australian driver’s licence and a current forklift licence, plus a reliable, positive attitude and good customer service skills. A willingness to learn about our industrial coatings is essential.

Wagon Paints has an exciting opportunity for a Store Person to join our dynamic team at our Somerton branch.

We are a well-established Australian-owned and operated company specialising in Industrial and Protective Coatings, offering stable employment and the opportunity to build a long-term career within the business.

Employment Conditions

The position will commence on a casual basis for the first 3 months as part of the probationary period, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent full-time position upon successful completion of probation.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands‑on position involving warehouse operations, colour tinting and local deliveries.

• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Receiving, storing and organising stock
• Loading and unloading goods
• Operating a forklift
• Tinting paint colours
• Delivering products to customers using a company vehicle
• General warehouse duties and housekeeping
• Assisting customers and other team members as required
• Maintaining a safe and organised workplace
• Following workplace health and safety procedures

The role involves some heavy lifting and manual handling, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
