Job summary

Wholesale Paint Group in Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Paint Salesperson to join our team. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service across automotive, marine, industrial and house paints, while handling orders, quotes, and stock management.

You will build long-term relationships with customers and trade partners, support warehouse operations, and help maintain a clean, welcoming showroom and stock area. A forklift licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standout customer service across our full product range — automotive, marine, industrial, house paints, and consumables.
• Assist with point-of-sale tasks, invoicing, and general admin.
• Support warehouse operations when needed.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and trade partners.
• Ensure the showroom and warehouse are clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Answer and process orders via phone and email.
• Prepare quotes promptly and accurately.
• Receive and check incoming stock.
• Pick, pack, and organise deliveries for customers.
• Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and occasional complaints with professionalism.
• Use colour-matching software and equipment to help customers find the perfect shade.
• Tinting and mixing paint to exact specifications.
• Follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Pitch in with general store and warehouse duties as required.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Paint Salesperson, you’ll be the friendly face and trusted advisor our customers rely on. Reporting to the Store Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering standout customer service across our full product range — automotive, marine, industrial, house paints, and consumables

Assisting with point‑of‑sale tasks, invoicing, and general admin

Supporting warehouse operations when needed

Building strong, long‑term relationships with customers and trade partners

Ensuring the showroom and warehouse are clean, organised, and welcoming

Answering and processing orders via phone and email

Preparing quotes promptly and accurately

Receiving and checking incoming stock

Picking, packing, and organising deliveries for customers

Handling customer enquiries, concerns, and occasional complaints with professionalism

What You’ll Bring
