Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Store Service Attendant / Retail Assistant for our team in Holtze, NT (Robertson Barracks). You'll manage the storage and distribution of Defence Force clothing for serving Defence personnel, Monday to Friday 7:30am–4pm.

You must be an Australian citizen eligible for Defence Security Clearance. This full-time role offers a supportive environment and opportunities to learn military software systems while delivering excellent customer service on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and learn military software systems.

Responsibilities

• Face to face customer service and delivering a great experience.
• Organising day-to-day workflow including receiving, scanning, sorting and shelving.
• Assist Defence personnel with uniforms and badges.
• Answer stock location queries and assist with stock takes and site cleaning.
• Operate computer system to check stock quantities and locations.

Job description

Ventia have an exciting opportunity for a Store Service Attendant / Retail Assistant to join our team based in Holtze, NT (Robertson Barracks). Reporting to the Site Leader, you will be responsible for the storage and distribution of Defence Force clothing for serving Defence personnel.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4pm.

You must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore, mustbe an Australian Citizen

What you will be doing:

• Face to face customer service, providing the best customer experience!
• Organising and controlling the day-to-day workflow – some receiving, scanning, sorting, and placing incoming goods on shelves.
• Assisting Defence personal in store with a wide variety of uniforms & badges.
• Answering customer queries regarding stock location and progress.
• Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of work site.
• Operating computer system to obtain details of stock quantities and locations.

• Prior demonstrated experience in a customer service or retail environment will be advantages.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
• A passion for understanding customer needs and catering service accordingly.
• A team player who works well with others.
• Intermediate computer skills (Spreadsheets and Applications). Will be learning different military software systems.
