Job summary

Hervey Bay Windows & Doors, part of G. James Glass and Aluminium, seeks a Store Person Assistant to support warehousing, loading/unloading, stock handling and distribution within our Hervey Bay facility.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, hold a current driver’s licence, and demonstrate reliable transport and strong communication skills. Previous warehousing experience is highly regarded and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Previous warehousing experience is highly regarded.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg.
• Enthusiastic and willing to take on new tasks.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have reliable transport for commuting.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading of trucks.
• Support general warehousing tasks: receiving, unwrapping materials, storing, picking and packing.
• Unloading/loading glass a-frames and distributing to shed sections.
• Maintain stock organisation and assist with basic inventory checks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Follow safety procedures and perform basic equipment pre-start checks.

Our Hervey Bay Windows & Doors branch provides sales, fabrication and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential and commercial construction markets. Products including shower screens, wardrobe doors and external screens such as Fly, Barrier and Crimsafe. We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Person Assistant to join our close-knit, successful team.

The Role

• Assist with manual loading/unloading of trucks.
• Support general warehousing tasks, including receiving, unwrapping materials, storing, picking, and packing.
• Unloading/loading glass a-frames and helping distribute to relevant sections in the shed
• Maintain organisation of stock and assist with basic inventory checks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and conduct basic equipment pre-start checks.
