Job summary

G James Glass and Aluminium is seeking a Store Person Assistant at our Hervey Bay site to join a close‑knit team. The role covers loading/unloading, warehousing tasks, stock organisation, and basic safety checks in a manufacturing environment.

You will be physically capable of lifting up to 20kg, have a current driver’s license, reliable transport, and good communication skills. Full-time permanent position with development opportunities and strong company backing.

• Previous warehousing experience (highly regarded).
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 20kg.
• Hold a current driver’s license and have reliable transport for commuting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manual loading/unloading of trucks.
• Support general warehousing tasks, including receiving, unwrapping materials, storing, picking, and packing.
• Unload/load glass a-frames and help distribute to relevant sections in the shed.
• Maintain organisation of stock and assist with basic inventory checks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and conduct basic equipment pre-start checks.

Our Hervey Bay Windows & Doors branch provides sales, fabrication and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential and commercial construction markets. Products including shower screens, wardrobe doors and external screens such as Fly, Barrier and Crimsafe. We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Person Assistant to join our close‑knit, successful team.

The Role

The position is diverse and involves a variety of duties across the facility, including:

• Assist with manual loading/unloading of trucks.
• Support general warehousing tasks, including receiving, unwrapping materials, storing, picking, and packing.
