Job summary

National Tyre & Wheel is seeking a motivated Store Person for our Smithfield warehouse. This full-time role involves receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in a fast-paced environment, with a Monday to Friday roster and overtime opportunities.

You will be part of a team, handling forklift operations, stock control, and ensuring safety and accuracy in every task. Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, a current C Class Licence, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
• A current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills for freight/dispatch systems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders.
• Receiving and checking incoming stock.
• Unloading containers and replenishing stock.
• Operating forklifts and stock-picking equipment.
• General warehouse and housekeeping duties.
• Inventory management and stock control support.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean environment.
• Support delivery operations when required.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our warehouse team, you'll play an important role in ensuring our products are received, stored, and dispatched safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders
• Receiving and checking incoming stock
• Unloading containers and replenishing warehouse stock
• Operating forklifts and stock-picking equipment
• Performing general warehouse and housekeeping duties
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control activities
• Following safe work practices and maintaining a clean work environment
• Supporting delivery operations when required

This is a physically active role that involves manual handling and heavy lifting.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and takes a proactive approach to their work.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience
• A current C Class Driver's Licence
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills, particularly relating to freight and dispatch systems
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

Highly Regarded but Not Essential

• Current LO (Order Picker) Licence
• Experience working at heights
• Experience within the automotive, tyre, transport, or industrial sectors
