Job summary

Australian Tyre Traders in Sydney is seeking a Warehouse Operator - storage and distribution to join our St Marys team. You will support the efficient, safe operation of our distribution centre, picking and packing orders and preparing dispatch documents.

This role runs 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with above-award wages and structured induction. Forklift licence is valued; tyre/warehousing experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience using inventory management and freight systems, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Moderate computer skills and confidence with day-to-day warehouse systems.
• Able to prioritise workload, stay organised and complete tasks.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication skills.

Warehouse Operator - storage and distribution

We are now looking for a motivated Warehouse Operator - storage and distribution to join our St Marys warehouse team in Sydney. This is a 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday role offering above-award wages, modern equipment, structured training and the opportunity to build your skills in a supportive, well-established business.

About the role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the efficient, organised and safe operation of our Sydney Distribution Centre.
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Palletising and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Booking couriers and freight collections within required cut-off times.
• Preparing consignment notes and associated dispatch documentation.
• Loading products safely and accurately for dispatch.
• Ensuring orders are dispatched on time and with the correct products and paperwork.
• Receiving incoming stock from suppliers and transport providers.
• Unloading 40-foot shipping containers and smaller freight consignments.
• Checking, unpacking and storing incoming tyres in the correct warehouse locations.
• Maintaining an orderly and well-organised warehouse and storage environment.

You will be reliable, practical and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will take pride in getting the details right, working safely and contributing to a well-run team.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good inventory control knowledge, including completing regular stock checks.
• Experience using inventory management and freight systems, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Moderate computer skills and confidence using day-to-day warehouse systems.
• The ability to prioritise your workload, stay organised and follow tasks through to completion.
• A positive, cooperative approach and a track record of working effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to remain focused and accurate when completing repetitive tasks and working under pressure.
• A self-motivated approach. When dispatch and receiving work is quiet, you will look for what needs to be done rather than waiting to be asked.
• The physical capacity to safely perform the manual handling requirements of a warehouse role.
• A strong commitment to safe work practices.

A current forklift licence will be highly regarded. Previous experience in tyre sales, tyre fitting, warehousing or distribution will also be an advantage.
