Job summary

Subway Morwell, located at 172 Commercial Road, Morwell, is seeking a Retail Manager to lead day-to-day store operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. You will manage staff, budgets, stock, and customer service while ensuring food safety and brand standards are upheld.

You will hire and coach sandwich artists, plan rosters, monitor costs, drive local marketing, and coordinate catering orders to support ongoing sales and community engagement in the Latrobe Valley region.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience managing a retail, food service or hospitality operation.
• Experience leading a team in a busy store environment is required.
• Familiarity with stock control, cash handling and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations from open to close, including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Hire, induct and coach staff; prepare weekly rosters.
• Set menu and pricing in line with Subway brand guidelines.
• Plan local marketing activities and coordinate catering orders.
• Ensure health, safety and food hygiene compliance per Australian regulations.
