Job summary

Mata Rani Pty Ltd trading as Subway Derrimut is seeking an experienced Retail Manager for its store in Derrimut, Victoria. The role includes staffing, purchasing, stock control, budgeting, and customer service to uphold Subway standards.

You will manage daily operations, oversee budgets and promotions, recruit and train staff, and ensure food safety and WHS compliance. Availability for a roaster that includes weekends is required.

Qualifications

• A relevant Diploma or higher qualification.
• At least one year of relevant management experience in retail/fast-food/quick-service.
• Experience in staff supervision, rostering, stock control, budgeting and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage daily store operations and customer service standards.
• Determine stock requirements and oversee purchasing, ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
• Prepare and manage store budgets, monitor sales and profitability, and control labour and operating costs.
• Implement purchasing and local marketing strategies; manage pricing and promotions within franchise requirements.
• Recruit, train and supervise employees, prepare rosters and manage staff performance.
• Oversee product presentation, promotions and Subway campaigns.
• Handle customer enquiries/complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain stock, sales and financial records; oversee cash handling and reconciliations.
• Monitor store performance and drive operational improvements to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
