Job summary

Randstad - Inhouse Services in Australia’s remote Outback is seeking a Store Manager Couple to lead ALPA supermarkets in Arnhem Land. You will oversee operations, mentor local staff and align stock and service with ALPA's nutrition policy.

This unique role offers zero rent and utilities covered, 7 weeks leave plus a 17.5% loading, 14% superannuation, and a chance to drive meaningful change in First Nations communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail management is desirable.
• Certificate III in Retail, or a genuine willingness to complete this qualification within your first 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and financial performance of ALPA supermarkets in remote settings.
• Coach, mentor, and support local team members to build community capacity.
• Bring ALPA's nutrition policy to life by actively promoting healthier food choices to members.
• Work closely with merchandising and nutrition teams to ensure high standards of stock and service.
• Engage with community leaders to ensure the store meets the unique needs of the local area.
• Maintain a smooth-running retail environment through effective stock control and scheduling.

About your next role

As a Store Manager Couple, you will be the heart of the community, responsible for the successful operation of a remote supermarket while mentoring local talent.

What we look for

• You are a resilient, culturally aware leadership duo with a background in high-volume retail and a passion for people development.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail management is desirable
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic retail systems, including POS, stock control, and staff scheduling
• Certificate III in Retail, or a genuine willingness to complete this qualification within your first 12 months
• High level of adaptability and the ability to thrive in remote or regional settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to cultural awareness
• Proven ability to manage a diverse team and drive positive community outcomes
