Job summary

Coetus Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Retail Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of its Eagleby site, including fuel sales, store activities, merchandising and stock control.

You will lead a team, monitor performance, optimize stock levels and ensure a high level of customer service while maintaining safety and operational standards. This full-time role offers career progression in a collaborative retail environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Management or a related field is desirable.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail management, store management or a similar supervisory role.
• Experience managing day-to-day retail operations.
• Understanding of sales, customer service, stock control and inventory management.
• Experience supervising and supporting retail staff.
• Ability to monitor business performance and implement practical improvements.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing operational priorities.
• Previous experience in a fuel station or convenience retail environment will be regarded favourably.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the fuel station and convenience store, ensuring the site operates efficiently and provides a positive customer experience.
• Manage fuel sales, retail activities, merchandising, promotions and general store operations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering, receiving, storage and rotation of products.
• Maintain appropriate product availability while identifying opportunities to minimise wastage and stock losses.
• Review sales results and operational information to identify trends and implement strategies to improve store performance.
• Monitor customer service standards and respond to customer enquiries, feedback and operational issues.
• Supervise and support retail staff, including allocating duties, coordinating rosters and assisting with staff training.
• Monitor staff performance and contribute to maintaining a productive and professional workplace.
• Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations and relevant operational records.
• Ensure the business complies with workplace health and safety requirements, fuel handling procedures and applicable operational standards.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers regarding stock, deliveries, maintenance and other store requirements.
• Work with management to identify operational improvements and support the continued growth of the business.
