Mitre 10 Hobart, part of Metcash Limited, is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead the Clennett’s Mitre 10 Hobart store. You’ll build a strong team, deliver great customer service and drive store performance, overseeing retail and trade operations in a seven-day business with a 38-hour roster.

You will coach staff, manage inventory and local community engagement, and strive for excellence in store presentation and financial performance in a close-knit retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or 2IC.
• Strong people leadership skills and confidence developing a diverse team.
• Genuine passion for customer service and building community relationships.
• Commercial experience across sales, inventory and financial performance.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on leadership style.
• Experience in hardware, trade or home improvement retail is advantageous.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead our Clennett’s Mitre 10 Hobart store. You'll be responsible for building a strong team, delivering great customer service and driving store performance. Leading a close-knit team across retail and trade, you'll coach and develop your people, oversee store operations and inventory, and help grow customer awareness in the local community. This role may suit an experienced Store Manager or a strong retail 2IC ready to take the next step. The store operates seven days a week, with a flexible 38-hour roster between 7:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend coverage.
