Job summary

Clennett's Mitre 10 Hobart, part of Metcash, is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead a close-knit team across retail and trade. You will coach staff, oversee store operations, and drive performance with a strong focus on customer service and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or 2IC.
• Strong people leadership skills and confidence developing a diverse team.
• A genuine passion for customer service and building community relationships.
• Commercial experience across sales, inventory and financial performance.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on leadership style.
• Experience in hardware, trade or home improvement retail is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team across retail and trade operations.
• Build a positive culture centred on customer service and accountability.
• Drive sales and identify opportunities to increase local store traffic.
• Manage store performance, including profit and loss, wages and costs.
• Oversee inventory, stock availability and overall store presentation.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations across the store and drive-through trade area.
