Job summary

Finlayson's Timber and Hardware is seeking a hands-on Store Manager for our Woodridge location. You will lead a long-tenured team, focus on deliveries, stock control and delivering superior customer service to builders and trade customers.

You'll be on the floor, driving sales, supporting staff, and coordinating daily operations while maintaining safety and presentation standards across the store. This role blends commercial focus with neighbourhood feel.

Qualifications

• Previous Store Manager, Branch Manager or Trade Centre leadership experience.
• Experience in timber, hardware, building supplies or trade environments.
• Proven success driving sales, customer growth and business performance.
• Strong inventory management and operational skills.
• Hands-on leadership style and ability to lead from the front.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a close-knit team to achieve strong results.

About The Opportunity

We're looking for a hands‑on and commercially minded Store Manager to lead our Woodridge store.

Location: Woodridge, QLD, AUSTRALIA

Company: Metcash

This isn't your typical retail management role. Woodridge is a trade-focused site supporting builders, tradies and commercial customers, with a strong focus on deliveries, stock management and customer relationships. You will be working on a Monday to Friday roster and leading a team of experienced and long‑tenured employees. You'll be the type of leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting customers, driving sales and working alongside the team to get the job done.

What You'll Be Doing
