Job summary

Biggz Desserts is seeking an experienced, confident Store Manager to lead the busy dessert shop in Toukley, NSW. You will run the shop with minimal owner supervision, combining hands-on leadership with administration and team management.

This full-time role includes evenings and weekends, a company laptop, and direct communication with the business owner to drive performance and growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Biggz Desserts is seeking an experienced, confident and hands‑on Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy dessert shop in Toukley, NSW.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives on responsibility, takes initiative and has the confidence to independently manage a fast-paced venue.

You’ll be responsible for running the shop with minimal owner supervision, combining hands‑on floor leadership with administration, team management and business performance.

This is a full‑time position working five days per week, including evenings and weekends. A company laptop will be provided for administrative responsibilities completed during working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently oversee all day‑to‑day store operations.
• Lead, recruit, train, motivate and manage staff performance.
• Create and manage rosters, staffing levels and labour costs.
• Oversee staff performance reviews, workplace issues and disciplinary procedures.
• Manage stock ordering, inventory, suppliers and wastage.
• Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and workplace compliance standards.
• Conduct internal operational inspections, complete documentation and sign off on required procedures.
• Monitor sales, expenses, operational performance and profitability.
• Resolve customer complaints and operational challenges professionally.
• Work alongside the team during service, maintaining exceptional product quality and customer experiences.
• Provide regular performance reports and updates to the business owner.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service and business performance.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced hospitality manager who can take ownership of a venue and lead by example.

You’ll bring:

• Extensive hospitality experience, including proven experience managing a busy café, restaurant or similar venue.
• Demonstrated success independently managing and developing teams.
• Strong experience in rostering, recruitment, stock control and operational administration.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness, including labour costs, inventory and profitability.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• A proactive, accountable and hands‑on management style.
• The confidence to make decisions and manage the business with minimal owner supervision.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.
