Job summary

WHSmith is hiring a Casual Stockroom Assistant at Melbourne Airport to support store standards and customer service. You will move stock from stockrooms to stores, assist with promotions, and help keep the store fully stocked and presentable. You’ll work as part of a team or independently, with safety as a priority.

Availability for shifts between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Sunday, is required. Prior retail or airport experience is helpful, and you’ll be joining a fast-paced, customer-focused

Qualifications

• Interest in stock and inventory control.
• Experience in a retail setting or airport/warehouse preferred.
• Able to multitask with safety as a priority.
• Team player with good communication.
• Flexible with shifts, including early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment from stockrooms to stores.
• Execute promotional and general merchandising tasks.
• Keep stores presentable and fully stocked for customers.

We're hiring a Casual Stockroom Assistant at Melbourne Airport.

As a Retail Assistant in our Melbourne Airport store, you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

What being a Stockroom Assistant is all about:

• Stock replenishment - moving stock from stock rooms to various stores
• Action promotional and general merchandising
• Working in a team to ensure the store is always presentable and fully stocked for our customers
• Working across a range of WHSmith stores at Melbourne Airport
• Ensuring safety across all elements of your role

What our Stores would love to see:

• A passion for stock and inventory
• Experience in a retail setting or in an airport/warehouse environment.
• Multitasking ability with a focus on safety
• Ability to work in a team
• Flexibility with working hours is also a must
• Availability is required for shifts between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Sunday)
• You should also be a fast learner, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
