Job summary

WHSmith Melbourne Airport is hiring a casual Stockroom Assistant to support our store operations with proactive stock management and friendly service. This role can be performed independently or with a team, contributing to outstanding store standards while you learn the WHSmith way.

You will handle stock replenishment, merchandising, and ensure safety. Availability across early mornings to evenings with flexibility helps the team deliver great customer experiences in a fast-paced travel retail

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or airport/warehouse environment.
• Passion for stock and inventory.
• Multitasking ability with safety focus.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility with working hours; shifts between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday–Sunday.
• Fast learner and able to work under pressure.

We're hiring a Casual Stockroom Assistant at Melbourne Airport.

As a Retail Assistant in our Melbourne Airport store, you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

What being a Stockroom Assistant is all about:

• Stock replenishment - moving stock from stock rooms to various stores
• Action promotional and general merchandising
• Working in a team to ensure the store is always presentable and fully stocked for our customers
• Working across a range of WHSmith stores at Melbourne Airport
• Ensuring safety across all elements of your role

What our Stores would love to see:

• A passion for stock and inventory
• Experience in a retail setting or in an airport/warehouse environment.
• Multitasking ability with a focus on safety
• Ability to work in a team
• Flexibility with working hours is also a must
• Availability is required for shifts between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Sunday)
• You should also be a fast learner, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
