Job summary

Vitrocsa Australia seeks a hands-on Stock Controller to join our specialised team in Sydney. You will own project stock, componentry and consumables, manage end-to-end inventory lifecycle, and implement systems to improve real-time stock visibility and accuracy.

The role requires factory-floor interaction, collaboration with production, finance and project teams, and leadership of two inbound-outbound staff.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
• Experience in small to medium-sized businesses.
• Proven stock counting and variance reconciliation.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Experience in supplier management.
• Ability to forecast inventory and manage stock-outs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stock is available to meet project timelines.
• Manage inventory, stock visibility and accuracy.
• Timely ordering of stock and consumables.

• Maintain stock levels per policy.
• Track movement of stock through lifecycle.

About the role

The Stock Controller will play an important role for the company with management of project stock, componentry and consumables.

Management includes entire lifecycle responsibility of inventory including ordering, warehousing, logistics, reconciliation, cost allocation, financial control and reporting.

This hands-on role requires constant factory floor interaction and also requires high level computer skills including experience with building and implementing inventory programs and systems that optimize stock control and real time stock visibility and accuracy

Duties and tasks

Understand and support delivery of project timelines by ensuring stock is available when needed

Management and reporting of inventory, stock visibility and stock accuracy

Timely ordering of stock, componentry and consumables

Management of key stock suppliers

Maintaining stock levels in line with company policies

Track movement of all stock items through entire lifecycle

Overseeing factory deliveries and dispatch plus inbound and outbound movement of stock

Daily stock management and monthly stocktake with timely documentation and reporting

Collaboration with management, finance, production, project and factory teams

Assist with forecasting

Investigation of discrepancies

Management of two inbound-outbound / factory staff members

Proactive adherence to all WHS requirements

About you

The successful candidate will have qualifiable:

2–5 years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse control, stores management, logistics, or supply chain

Experience in a small to medium-sized business or multi-department storeroom

Proven experience conducting physical stock counts and reconciling variances

ERP, inventory, warehouse, or accounting systems

Experience in supplier management

Experience monitoring reorder levels and prevention of stock-outs

Experience preparing inventory reports for management
