Job summary

H People is seeking an Inventory Controller for a leading 3PL provider in Brisbane. You will maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate cycle counts, and work with warehouse operations to ensure stock integrity. You will investigate discrepancies, reconcile variances, and prepare reports while supporting multiple customers.

A background in FMCG or distribution and experience with WMS is preferred. This is a permanent full-time role offering ongoing training, mentorship, and clear career progression

Qualifications

• Experience as Inventory Controller, Inventory Coordinator, Stock Controller, or similar.
• Experience in 3PL, FMCG, retail/eCommerce, or distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
• Experience using Inventory & Warehouse Management Systems.
• Ability analyze inventory data and identify variances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy across warehouse operations.
• Coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes and audits.
• Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor inbound, outbound, and transfer movements within the WMS.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and prepare variance reports.

Job description

Our client is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider with a strong national footprint. Due to the current incumbent relocating they are seeking an Inventory Controller to join the team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy. Working closely with warehouse operations, customer service, and management teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring stock integrity, investigating discrepancies, and supporting operational performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in an Inventory Controller, Inventory Coordinator, Stock Controller, or similar warehouse inventory position.
• Experience working within a 3PL, FMCG, retail/eCommerce, or transport distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock control processes.
• Experience using Inventory & Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong technical skills and confidence analysing inventory data.
• Experience supporting multiple customers within a 3PL environment. (highly regarded)
• Physically fit - you'll definitely be hitting your 10,000 steps per day.
