Job summary

Optimal Pharmacy Plus Stafford is seeking a stock controller to work in a busy pharmacy environment at the Stafford Medical Centre.

You will mark invoices against stock received, enter invoices into the POS, manage the stock database, liaise with suppliers, and serve customers.

Daily top‑ups, monthly turnover orders, quarterly stock takes, and weekly/monthly reports form part of the role, plus merchandising and promotions.

Qualifications

• Experience with stock management in purchasing, invoicing and database management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks to high standards.
• Promotional activity execution and merchandising experience.
• Familiarity with the MINFOS system is a bonus.

Job description

Optimal Pharmacy Plus Stafford will be located in the new Stafford Medical Centre on the corner of Webster and Stafford Road.

We are looking for stock controller to work within a busy pharmacy environment, multitasking across all areas of the pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Marking off invoices to stock received
• Entering invoices into point of sale system
• Managing the database to ensure correct buying of stock
• Liaising with company representatives
• Daily top up orders and monthly turnover orders of stock
• Coordinating quarterly stock takes
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports
• Merchandising, preparation and execution of all promotions
• Serving customers

About you

• Friendly, outgoing and motivated with keen eye for detail
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks to the highest standard
• Experience with stock management directly relating to purchasing, invoicing, and database management in accordance with company protocol
• Ability to execute promotional activity with good organisational skills
• Merchandising experience and ability to set up promotional activity to support the marketing program
• Enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment
• Qualified S2/S3 certificate for the supply of pharmacy and pharmacist medications (advantageous but not essential)
• Experience using the MINFOS system is a bonus
