Job summary

The Department for Education in South Australia is seeking a Project Officer, Aboriginal Languages to lead statewide language initiatives within the EALD and Aboriginal Languages Unit. The role focuses on increasing availability and quality of Aboriginal languages programs in public schools.

You will work with Aboriginal communities and ACCOs to develop language resources and curricula, ensuring locally relevant content and sustained program delivery.

Qualifications

• Essential: A tertiary qualification in education and current full teacher registration.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Aboriginal organisations and communities to increase the availability and quality of Aboriginal languages programs across the state.
• Provide state-wide high-quality advice and support across a range of projects.
• Collaborate with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to develop locally relevant language and culture resources.
