Job summary

The Department for Education in South Australia is seeking a Project Officer – Aṉangu Bilingual Education to work with Aṉangu Schools and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to develop and implement language resources and school programs. You will support educators and leaders to build skills for teaching Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara or Southern Pitjantjatjara language and culture.

Essential qualifications include a tertiary education degree and current teacher registration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with Aṉangu Schools and ACCOs to develop and implement approaches and resources to support Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara or Southern Pitjantjatjara language and culture.
• Support Aṉangu Educators, Coordinators, teachers and leaders to build capabilities for first language literacy and learning through professional learning and advice to schools.
• Assist non-Aṉangu staff to build Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara language and cultural awareness.
