Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action VIC in Victoria seeks a highly motivated leader to drive statewide preparedness, readiness and response across Forest Fire Management Victoria. You will oversee statewide preparedness programs, capability reviews and improvement projects, turning lessons learned into action to strengthen emergency response.

You will advise senior leaders on statewide preparedness and lead strategic initiatives that shape Victoria's readiness for future

Qualifications

Demonstrated high level understanding and experience in emergency management, preferably with knowledge of emergency preparedness and response arrangements in Victoria.
Experience leading programs and projects to manage capability.
Current accreditation to fulfil a senior EM role or willingness to work towards such accreditation.
Tertiary qualification in emergency management, public policy or related field would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead statewide preparedness, readiness and response across Forest Fire Management Victoria.
Oversee statewide preparedness programs and capability reviews, driving improvements and turning lessons into action.
Advise senior leaders on statewide preparedness and lead strategic initiatives to strengthen emergency management capability.
Drive ongoing preparedness and readiness efforts in a fast-paced, meaningful role.
