Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Victoria is recruiting firefighters to join Forest Fire Management Victoria. You will collaborate with department personnel, contractors and fellow FFOOs to safeguard natural landscapes across over 76 workcentres throughout Victoria.

Role involves supporting emergency responses to floods and storms, facing new challenges daily, and making impactful decisions within a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Current manual Driver's Licence (Conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental personnel, skilled contractors and FFOOs to build lasting connections within the community.
• Support other emergency responses, including flood and storm incidents.
• Be part of Forest Fire Management Victoria, with 76+ workcentres across Victoria, safeguarding natural landscapes.
• Face daily challenges, solve problems and make impactful decisions while enjoying team camaraderie.
